After Effects Tutorial: Audio Synced Flashing

BakersTut's famous audio sync video tutorial
=========================================
=========================================

1. put bass & treble audio effect on audio (to get kicks more defined)
(bass +100, treble -100)
2. right click > keyframe assistant > convert audio to keyframes
3. delete bass & treble effect on audio (don't need it anymore)
4. delete LEFT & RIGHT channels off of the GENERATED "Audio Amplitude" keyframe layer (YOU ONLY NEED "Both Channels")

5. click on "Audio Amplitude" (generated layer) > expand > CLICK ON SLIDER to view the GRAPH editor view (to get a feel of what it keyed)
-^ you just use the GRAPH to figure out what #'s to use...

6. alt-click on the "SLIDER" > type in "linear(value,#low,#high,#fx-low,#fx-high)"
so now every time you move the SLIDER it shows value as #fx-low OR #fx-high (instead of the normal numbers that got generated)
-^ YOU DO THIS TO THE "Both Channels" "Slider"
-^ aka:
linear(value,2,10,0,40)

7. alt-click EFFECT's keyframe (opacity, brightness, etc) > drag whip to the Audio Amplitude SLIDER

audio effect: bass&treble (bass +100, treble -100)
video>right-click>keyframe assistant> convert audio to keyframes
delete Left&Right (keep "both channels")
delete bass&treble
alt-click audio amplitude: linear(value,#low,#high,#fx-low,#fx-high)
alt-click effect keyer: pick-whip to ^ slider ^ (above)

alt-click audio amplitude: linear(value,#low,#high,#fx-low,#fx-high)
alt-click effect key: pick-whip to ^ slider ^ (above)

"Alt-click on the opacity on the adjustment layer, ...and Pick-whip to the slider value (audio amplitude) "

"so it will copy...everything here." "so we got zero, a bump up to 100, back to zero"
